“idk what recent things you’ve seen but what about /DRAMAtical murder/ (ʘ‿ʘ✿)”
I couldn’t come up with clothes as hip as theirs so I look like a bad guy. Maybe like a leader of a rhyme gang who is rumored to be super good but I actually don’t fight anyone ever. Nanook would be my allmate tho hehe so she’d probably beat everyone and I’d just be like “gj gj”

Anonymous asked:
“draw yourself as a pokemon??”

I’d be called “The sparkle dog Pokemon”. Only 2 evolutions. The fur color accents change depending on the season.
Winter: blue
Spring: green
Summer: orange
Fall: pink
(So right now you’re seeing winter and spring)
First evol is just electric, second evol is dark and electric (I’m actually not sure that’s possible). Color accents glow whenever it charges for an electric attack. Can I get any cheesier.

Can’t answer asks with photos on mobile :-/

  littleredrin asked:
“hmmm…draw yourself as a pokemon trainer/from pokemon? :3”

I’d take my Pokemon out to ice cream after every battle, only raise fire & electric types, and sign a petition to allow more than 6 Pokemon in your party because “what if boxed Pokemon get lonely!?”

Emma Tenayuca was a Mexican American activist and educator. Born December 21, 1916 in San Antonio, Texas, Tenayuca was a key figure in Texan labor and civil rights activism during the 1930’s, where she organized protests over the beatings of Mexican migrants by United States Border Patrol agents and labor strikes to end unfair wages. As a union activist, she also founded two international ladies’ garment workers unions and was involved in both the Worker’s Alliance of America and Woman’s League for Peace and Freedom.
Throughout her fight for labor and civil rights, Tenayuca was arrested many times under charges of “disturbing the peace”, even though her participation during protests was strictly peaceful. She was also targeted for being a member of the Communist Party, which resulted in her being “blacklisted” and forced to move out of the San Antonio area 1939. After leaving her hometown she went on to attend San Francisco State College where she majored in Education. Years later Tenayuca returned to San Antonio and earned a master’s in Education from Our Lady of the Lake University, leading her to eventually go on to teach in the Harlandale School District until her retirement in 1982.
Shortly after her retirement Emma Tenayuca was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and passed away on July 23, 1999.

Eyyyy! This summer a few of my kids were studying Mexican-American history in order to do a play on A specific person. Since they were all girls, they all clearly voiced to me that they were sick of only hearing about male heroes (mind you these were 8-12 year old girls) and decided they wanted to do their play on Emma Tenayuca. I’m ashamed to say I didn’t even know who she was, but my girls taught me and they worked SO HARD and made a fantastic play. My boss got chills. So, morals of the story: 1- girls notice their lack of representation and they DO resent it2- we need to talk about important woc more often.

An open call to action to ALL artists everywhere!
Announcing WORLD ART DROP DAY on September 2nd
All artists, (that means students and professionals, painters and cartoonists, sculptors and illustrators, animators and fine artists, EVERYONE who creates) this September 2nd is World Art Drop Day. Wherever you find yourself that day, drop a piece of your art and tell someone where to find it. The world needs this right now. We need to feel a little more connection to each other and there’s nothing like the bond two random strangers can make through the act of creating and giving.
I recently just finished a cross-country art drop this summer and it was exhilarating. The emails and responses I received from the finders ran the gamut of funny to touching. I want that for everyone!
Here’s how it works:
Draw a picture and hide it somewhere.
Take a photo of either the art or the hiding spot or a combination of both.
Post the image, the city you dropped it in, and a hint on any social media of your choice. Be sure to included the hashtag: #artdropday
Then move on, hoping someone finds it. OR hang around and meet your new friend.
That’s it!
I need your help spreading the word on this. Reblog it, retweet it, facebook it, or even tell someone in person!
September 2nd, lets connect the whole planet with art!

This seems really enjoyable hoho~ I’ll be dropping some art around Manhattan and maybe Brooklyn (don’t let me forget).

Doin this

Reblogging this as a reminder to my artist followers!!I’ll be dropping art around downtown austin on Tuesday!

Making another post about this with more info because a couple people have asked;

So I have some debt that pretty urgently needs to be paid off by the end of September.

Now I might be able to do it with my paychecks, but if I do do that I won’t have enough money to do things like: Buy groceries, pay for transport into work, buy food and litter for my cats, pay bills, get medication, or afford rent. I’ve been living pretty sparsely for the past few months as it is trying to do it on my own.

So as it stands, ideally, I’d like to get together 800$ to cover my debt and allow me to eat; I really hate to ask for help, and I realize that this may be un-doable, but any little bit helps.

Which is why I’m taking sketch commissions!
I’ll be doing Full-body clean roughs for 15$ apiece.

Above I included examples of my style and what you might get. You can see more of my stuff over at my  Art  Tags;

I’ll be taking payment primarily through paypal, but if you have an alternative I’m open to discussing it;

If you have any questions or would like to Commission me, you can contact me at alyssalmpenney@yahoo.com
And in case anyone doesn’t want to commission but still wants to contribute,my paypal info is (Please note it is not the same as my email address) alyssalmpenney@gmail.com

As before I appreciate any reblogs to help spread the word, and am incredibly grateful to any and all who helped me out by signal boosting my last post; I understand that it’s back to school time for a lot of people and appreciate any help I can get;

Omg ok so Alyssa is like the coolest kid on the block who’s been like the nicest person ever when I needed help. Her drawings are awesome and she’s awesome. Did I mention she’s great?
Go buy her art. Now please.
I’ll be doing my part ASAP as I won’t be here tomorrow BUT IF YOU ARE GO THROW YOUR MONEY AT HER
